Pegboards designed for your wall — and your printer.

Pegboard Maker turns your wall, your pegboard type and your print bed into print-ready files. Pieces are sliced between the holes, joints and wall mounts are built in, and colours come out as one multi-colour 3MF.

Hex tiles in frames, LED rail on the outer edge

50 slots

Drag the hook, shelf and cup — they snap to the slots. Tip: focus an accessory and use the arrow keys.

Four workflows

One engine. Four ways to fill a wall.

Every workflow shares the same geometry engine — pegboard types, bed-aware slicing, joints, wall mounts, light profiles and colour inlays — so what you learn in one carries over to the rest.

Shaped panels

Framed tiles, grown one slot at a time.

Infinite pegboard

Any wall size, sliced to your print bed.

How it works

From wall to print in three steps.

  1. 01

Choose a workflow and a pegboard type

Shaped tiles, a full wall, an SVG or text — on the capsule system or a classic round-hole pegboard, each type with its own holes, standard board thickness, wall distance and accessories.

  2. 02

Fit it to your wall and printer

Set sizes, bed, joints, mounts and colours. The 3D preview updates as you go and printability checks flag anything risky.

  3. 03

    Export, print, hang

Download a multi-colour 3MF or STL per part, with an assembly map. Print face down, mount it, fill it with tools.

Engineering

Printable by design, not by luck.

The details that decide whether a pegboard prints cleanly, fits together and holds weight on a wall — worked out once, applied to every design.

  • Straight cut: slots destroyed
  • Stepped seam: every slot intact

Stepped seams never cut a hole

Horizontal corridors in the capsule grid are only 5 mm wide, so seams step around the slots — 20 mm up, 20 mm down, every 40 mm. Every piece, joint features included, fits your bed.

Standoff5–6 mmPanelØ 10 · 90°CapØ 4 screwWallWall plug

Countersunk wall mounts

Ø 4 mm screws with a Ø 10 mm 90° countersink, 5–6 mm of material under the head and a printed cap that hides the screw. Anchors sit in level rows sized for the load, never on a hole, and the wall distance follows your pegboard type — 10 mm for capsule clips, 12.7 mm (½″) for round-hole wire hooks — so hooks reach behind the board.

Piece APiece BFront ↑Back (wall side) ↓Spline strip

Spline strip joints

A shallow recess on the back of both pieces takes a printed strip. Glue it in and the front stays flush — no supports, no visible hardware.

Depth ≥ 10 mmFramePanelShelfLED channel

Frames with shelf and LED channel

Frame walls carry the panel on a 5 × 2 mm inner shelf. The outer edge can hold an LED strip; slots that would overlap the shelf are dropped, never clipped.

Face-down colour inlays

Panels print front face down, so colours sit in the first layers. Colour changes happen only there: crisp graphics and very little purge waste.

Light profiles

Solid for maximum stiffness, or lattice and back pockets to save filament and print time.

Typical values for a capsule board; they vary with the pegboard type and size.

Pegboard types

Your wall, your pegboard type.

Start from the capsule system or a classic round-hole pegboard. Each type brings its own hole pattern, its standard board thickness and wall distance, and the way accessories attach — so the hooks you already own seat as they would on the original board.

Accessories

A library that fits every hole.

Each accessory is generated with the right connector for your pegboard type — capsule clips or printed pegs — so the whole library fits the capsule system, every classic round-hole pegboard and the holes of your own Custom type.

Adapts to your pegboard type

Basic includes a curated third of every pack. Maker and above get the full library, including packs released later.

Stretch goals

The more we raise, the more it does.

The base goal funds the core app. Every stretch goal on top adds something it cannot do yet: templates, built-in assets, new features and workflows, sign styles and platform tools.

Campaign progress

$0 / $10,000

The campaign has not started yet. The launch date and the campaign link will appear here.

  1. $2,000Base goal

    Core app

Ready when your invite code arrives:

    • Four workflows: Shaped, Infinite, SVG and Text
    • Capsule and classic round-hole pegboard types
    • Bed-aware slicing that never cuts a hole
    • Multi-colour 3MF and STL export
    • A starter accessory library in four packs
    • Wall anchors with a drilling guide

Why it matters: Everything you need to design, print and hang your first board.

  2. $3,000Stretch goal: Templates

    Ready-made walls

Wall templates for the workshop, the garage, the craft room, a kitchen rail and a gaming or desk setup that open as editable projects — plus more pegboard types: square-hole tool walls and more metric grids.

Why it matters: Start from a finished wall instead of a blank grid.

  3. $4,000Stretch goal: Built-in assets

    Shape & font library ×2

Twice the built-in library: 60+ original shapes — tool silhouettes, icons and label plates — and twice as many fonts.

Why it matters: More ways to make a board your own, without drawing a thing.

  4. $5,000Stretch goal: Built-in assets

    Accessory expansion

Kitchen and Garage packs, plus accessory remixing: combine parts into a new accessory, like a shelf with hooks underneath.

Why it matters: Utensils, spices, cords and long-handled tools finally get their own spot.

  5. $6,000Stretch goal: Sign styles

    Letters that stand out

Layered 3D lettering, outlined and drop-shadow letters, badge and banner plates, and stencil-safe text that bridges the centres of letters like O and A automatically — for the Text and SVG workflows.

Why it matters: Signs that read from across the room and print without loose pieces.

  6. $7,000Stretch goal: New feature

    Wall planner

Place accessories on your board in 3D, check the clearances between them, and export the board plus every accessory as one print kit.

Why it matters: See the finished wall before you print a single part.

  7. $7,500Stretch goal: New feature

    Made to fit your wall

For the Infinite pegboard only: measure your wall and mark its sockets, switches and windows. The app cuts the board around them, keeps the anchors off the usual cable routes and gives you an install sheet measured from the floor.

Why it matters: It fits the first time, with no surprises when you hang it.

  8. $8,500Stretch goal: New workflow

    Shadow board

Photograph your tools on a sheet of paper, which sets the scale. The app traces their outlines and builds a pegboard with inlaid silhouettes and matching holders.

Why it matters: Every tool gets a marked home, so you see at a glance what is missing.

  9. $10,000Stretch goal: Platform

    Community & pro tools

Share links and a community gallery of remixable templates, full-size printable drilling templates and an assembly PDF, per-printer print profiles, and an installable app you can design in offline.

Why it matters: Share a wall with one link, drill it right the first time and design anywhere.

Every stretch goal is new work: none of it is in the app today. Unlocked goals arrive as updates to the web app.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Which slicers work with the files?

Exports are standard 3MF and STL. Multi-colour 3MF files open with parts and colours assigned in Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer and PrusaSlicer; STL works in any slicer.

Which printers and bed sizes are supported?

Any FDM printer. Pick a bed preset (180 to 350 mm) or enter your own size, and every piece — joint features included — is sliced to fit it with a safety margin.

Which materials should I use?

PLA and PETG work well for panels; PETG or ASA for heavier loads or warm rooms. Board thickness follows the pegboard type — 5 mm on the capsule system, 6 mm (standard) or 3 mm (light duty) on EU 5/25 boards, 1/4″ or 1/8″ on US boards — and panels print face down without supports.

What is a pegboard type?

The system your board follows: its hole pattern, its standard board thickness and the way accessories attach. Pick the capsule system, US 1/4″, US 1/8″ or EU 5/25 to match hooks you already own — the board thickness and wall distance follow — or Custom for any other grid.

Compare the pegboard types

Will the accessories fit my existing pegboard?

Accessories are generated for the pegboard type you choose: capsule clips and hooks for the capsule system, printed pegs for US 1/4″, US 1/8″ and EU 5/25 boards, and pegs sized to your holes (about 3 to 18 mm across) for a Custom type. Print a test coupon first — clearances are adjustable.

Read the calibration guide

How do invite codes work?

Pegboard Maker is invite-only. After the campaign, every backer receives a code tied to their tier. Redeem it to create your account, or to upgrade an existing one.

What counts as an export?

One successful download of print files: 3MF, STL or a ZIP bundle, or SVG cutting outlines. The assembly map with the drilling guide is free, designing and previewing are unlimited, and you can keep up to 500 saved projects. Quotas reset on the 1st of every month (UTC).

Can I sell what I make?

Commercial lets you sell physical prints of your designs. Commercial Plus also lets you sell the STL/3MF files of designs made with the workflows. Accessory files may never be resold.

Read the license summary

Which languages are available?

The site, the app and the docs are available in English and Spanish.

What happens to my data?

Projects are small parameter files saved to your account and autosaved in your browser. Print files are generated on your device. We keep only what your account and export quota need.

Read the privacy policy

Do I need to install anything?

No. Pegboard Maker runs in a modern desktop browser; heavy geometry runs in a background worker so the editor stays responsive.

Your wall. Your printer. Your pegboard.

Back the campaign to get your invite code — and design your first board the day it arrives.
