These terms are the agreement between you and the operator of Pegboard Maker when you use the Pegboard Maker app and this website. Please read them together with the privacy policy and the license terms, which are part of this agreement.
Who we are
Pegboard Maker is operated by to be confirmed before launch, to be confirmed before launch (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at to be confirmed before launch.
The service
Pegboard Maker is a browser application for designing 3D-printable pegboards, accessories and related parts, and for exporting print files. Designs are computed in your browser; your account and projects are stored with our service providers as described in the privacy policy.
The service is offered first to backers of our crowdfunding campaign. Features are delivered and improved over time, including features unlocked by campaign stretch goals. We may change, add or remove features, as long as we don’t take away the core of what your tier includes.
Accounts and invite codes
- Invite only. An account can only be created with a valid invite code. A code is tied to a tier and may be used the number of times stated with it — normally once.
- Your account is personal. Give accurate information, keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Codes are not money. Invite and upgrade codes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money. Don’t sell codes or publish them.
- Upgrades. Redeeming a higher-tier code upgrades your account immediately. A code is not consumed if it would not raise your tier.
- Age. You must be old enough to enter into this agreement where you live, or use the service with the consent of a parent or guardian.
Tiers, quotas and fair use
Your tier determines the workflows you can use, the accessory library you can access, your monthly export quota and your license, as shown in the app and summarised in the license terms.
- An export is one successful download of print files from the export dialog: 3MF, STL (on its own or as a ZIP bundle) or SVG cutting outlines. Downloading the assembly map with the drilling guide is free and is not an export. Quotas reset on the first day of each calendar month at 00:00 UTC; unused exports don’t carry over.
- Designing and previewing are not limited, but please use the service reasonably: automated or excessive use that degrades it for others is not allowed.
- You may keep up to 500 projects per account.
Your content
- You own your designs. Projects, parameters and artwork you upload remain yours.
- What you let us do. You allow us to store, process and back up your content only as needed to run the service for you — for example saving your projects and generating previews.
- Your responsibility. Only upload artwork you have the right to use. Don’t upload content that is illegal or infringes someone else’s rights. We may remove such content.
Licenses for exported files
What you may do with exported files and the objects printed from them is set out in the license terms. In short: personal use on every tier; selling physical prints on the commercial tiers; selling digital files of workflow designs on the highest tier; accessory files may never be resold or shared.
Acceptable use
Don’t:
- try to get around quotas, tier limits or invite-code checks, or probe or attack the service;
- scrape, copy or rebuild the service, its accessory library or its built-in shapes, except as the license terms allow;
- resell, share or publish accessory files, or share your account;
- use the service to break the law or infringe anyone’s rights.
Printing, mounting and safety
Pegboard Maker generates files; you print and install them. Print quality, materials, hardware and installation are your responsibility. Follow the instructions of your printer, filament, screws and wall anchors, check walls for pipes and cables before drilling, respect load ratings and keep heavy items low. Printed parts are not certified for safety-critical or load-bearing uses such as holding people or overhead loads.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available but can’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may need to pause it for maintenance, security or reasons outside our control. If we make material changes to these terms, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
Warranty and liability
The service is provided “as is”, to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract, or our liability where the law doesn’t allow it to be limited. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, or damage caused by printed parts, their installation or their use.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms, after warning you where reasonable. Files you exported before closure remain covered by the license that applied when you exported them.
Crowdfunding rewards
Pledges are made on the crowdfunding platform and are governed by its terms. Your reward is an invite code for the tier you backed, sent by email after the campaign ends. Stretch-goal features are delivered as described in the campaign.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of to be confirmed before launch, without depriving you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in the country where you live.
