After you sign in you land on Home, the dashboard. It answers three questions at a glance: what your plan includes, how many exports you have left this month, and what you were working on.
Around the app
- Sidebar (left). New design opens a menu with the four workflows. Projects brings you back to the dashboard, Accessories opens the accessory library, and at the bottom you find Docs (this site) and Account. Collapse the sidebar to icons with the button at its foot or with Ctrl + B (⌘ + B on a Mac). On small screens it becomes a drawer.
- Top bar. The page title, the exports meter (used / monthly limit), the language switch, the theme toggle and the account menu.
What’s on Home
Your plan
Your tier and a Manage plan link to the account page. If there is no active plan, the card offers to redeem an invite code.
Exports this month
How many exports you have left and the date the quota resets (the first day of next month, UTC). Unlimited plans simply say so. See Exports and quotas.
Start a new design
One card per workflow. Workflows that are not in your tier show a lock and the tier that includes them; Unlock with a code takes you to the upgrade form. Opening a workflow creates a new project with sensible defaults and drops you straight into the editor.
Accessory library
A shortcut to hooks, shelves, bins and holders generated for your pegboard type. See Accessories.
Recent projects
Your designs, most recently edited first. Each project’s menu lets you:
- Rename it,
- Duplicate it (handy before trying a big change),
- Export .json — a small file with the project’s settings, for backups or moving it to another account,
- Delete it. Deleting removes the project from your account for good; files you already exported are not affected.
Import .json (above the list) adds a project from a file exported earlier. A file made with a newer version of Pegboard Maker is refused rather than loaded incorrectly.
How saving works
Projects are saved to your account as you work, so they follow you to any computer where you sign in. The editor also keeps a local draft in your browser on every change. If the tab closes before a change reaches your account — a crash, a lost connection — the next time you open the project you will see “We found unsaved changes” with Restore and Discard.
Designing, previewing, saving and duplicating are never limited. Only downloading print files (3MF, STL or a ZIP of them) or SVG cutting outlines counts as an export; the assembly map is free.
Keyboard shortcuts
| Shortcut | Where | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Ctrl + B / ⌘ + B | Anywhere in the app | Collapse or expand the sidebar |
| / or Ctrl + K | These docs | Search the documentation |
The editor has its own shortcuts — undo and redo, save, export, views, settings tabs — listed in The editor: panels, selection and shortcuts.
